Our manila decking rope is a three strand rope made from the fibres obtained from the 'abaca' or Musa textilis plant grown in the Phillipines. Manila is the type of rope that would have traditionally been used on ships and it would make the ideal garden decking rope. Other possible uses include with hand rails, fencing, as a barrier rope and general landscaping. It is highly durable and flexible but will also shrink when wet so it is advised to pre-soak it before fitting and only drill holes once rope has been received and completing the process. Our manila ropes come in a range of diameters and are available either by the metre or in set lengths.
